Welcome to the Valley Forge National Historical Park audio tour. The tour begins in the Visitor Center parking lot and you will follow the directions given in the tour program. The tour route is also marked by the signs that appear next to the audio tracks.
July 3-5, 2026, we ask that visitors please use the Park shuttle or bicycles if they plan on using the audio tour instead of their own vehicles. The Park will be experiencing a high volume of traffic due to special event programming and we ask that visitors use alternate transportation while touring the grounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
Beginning July 7, 2026, PA Route 252 will be closed due to road work. Please ask NPS or Encampment Store staff in the Visitor Center for the best alternative route.
Please press play on the first track when you are ready to begin your tour. After each track, when you are ready to proceed, please press play on the next track. You may pause the tour at any time by pressing the pause button.

Please note: Washington’s Headquarters (Tour Stop #5) will be closed for entry April 2026-April 2027 due to renovation work. An exact start and end date is yet to be determined, but we will update visitors as soon as the information becomes available. Visitors may still explore the Headquarters area, including the exterior of the building, the Valley Forge train station with a small exhibit covering Washington at Valley Forge, the Carriage House that features artifacts from the forges “Valley Forge” was named for, and a replica of George Washington, the famous sculpture of Washington by the renowned French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon.
